Good eye John, when I googled’58 t-bird to get a pic this wicked red one came up and blew me away. I did’t notice that the chrome ersatz louvers had slid back to the rear. My favorite square bird was the ‘59 but I would sure take the ‘58!
The Ford is my pick as, to me, it has the cleanest styling of all pictured.

1958 IMO was the most outlandish year for styling of American cars and I don't care for outlandish.
1. Thunderbird [even if it is not listed] 2. Ford, 3. Lincoln, 4. Mercury, 5. Edsel.
The Ford or T-bird are the only ones I would buy. Ford for today's vote.
It's amazing that two people can see the same things, and each has a 180 difference of opinion to them.
I think for 1958 FoMoCo and GM offered some of the best looking and nicely styled cars in their history.
And GM followed with more attractive styling for their '59 line-up (with the exception of Cadillac).
For 1960, each of the Big Three offered up one car each that was to die for. Chrysler Corps "Chrysler" was a hit out of the ballpark homerun. GH's "Buick" was a dream to look at. And FoMoCo's "Mercury" was the most beautifully styled Mercury for the last time before it became a Ford clone the year after.

Lincoln 1st - way up at the top - If I'm going to go for a '58, I might as well pick the one that has the most to say. 2nd choice (today) would be Edsel, back then it would have been Ford - now, Ford in 3rd and Mercury bringing up the rear.

I don't like any of the FOMOCO's 1958.
No interest in any of these FOMOCO models. No style in any of them.
No interest in any of these FOMOCO models. No style in any of them.
And I'd say FoCoMo's cars for '58 (as well as Chrysler and GM) oozed style all over the place. The were bold, each different, all demanding attention. Something we've never seen since. So much better than today's "cookie-cutter" look-a-likes. BORING!

@georgeschire Some people love the same sex??? 🤨 🙃
HUH??? Not sure where your comment is going or what it is referencing in this topic of 1958 cars. I do realize that "some people love the same sex", and that is a whole can of worms topic that doesn't need to be discussed on this Forum. Though I will say, it should be discussed and addressed in our society as to how wrong it is.

@georgeschire It was not anything to do with sex, just one way of pointing out that like you with cars can't understand two people looking at the same car walk away with totally different opinions, the same with sex two people can have totally different opinions. And that's what came to mind, same sex partners is something I don't understand. But I can understand the difference in opinions about cars people like. I didn't understand why or how you could not understand how people could have different opinions on what they saw.
To each their own.
Different strokes for different folks.
etc.

I think you read in to my comment wrong. I don't disagree that two people can see things differently, as in this case cars, It's just amazing to me. But I totally understand it. And certainly differences and diversity are what makes our word interesting. And yes, "same sex" partners is an avenue society has shoved down our throats as normal. And there should be no condoning or promoting it as normal at all. What's wrong is wrong and that doesn't make it right by promoting it.
