For me, a different priority in 1961. Pontiac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Buick and lastly, Cadillac. I actually like the Chevrolet style best but had positive family experience with the Pontiac. I travelled to Florida in that Cadillac and it had a very floaty ride that made most of us car sick. Sorry!

Just a matter of personal taste on the styling details, I guess. For me, Pontiac is first. Olds and Chevy tied for second, then Buick. Cadillac a distant fifth.

Pontiac over Chevrolet by a narrow margin then Oldsmobile, Buick in that order. I left the Caddy out as I see it as a different class of car. All five are very nice cars IMHO; a great styling year for GM.

If Caddy is in a different class, upper or luxury. Why not the Chevy being in a different class the low end. Leaving the other three to argue which is which in the middle class. lol

Regarding your comment, I think in recent years General Motors told us which of the middle three were in the middle, by eliminating Pontiac and Oldsmobile from their ladder of cars. I'll never understand why they were removed.

The GMC cars I liked best, in the order I liked them Pontiac and Oldsmobile. The rest of GM Caddy, Chevy, Buick.
Got me thinking, which is favored Pontiac '61 Bonneville, Olds '62 Starfire, Caddy '57 Series 62, Chevy '64 Impala, Buick '60 Electra.
