Although the 60 looks like a large T-Bird, I'm voting for the 61 -modern, sleek and clean.
The 1961 has been a favorite since I first saw one. Love its looks.

It wasn't until the 64 model came out that I liked this body style. The 61-63 just looked overly long and out of place. My vote goes to the 60.
To me, slightly prettier lines in 1960.
'60 - '66 Galaxies are my favorite Fords, the order I like them in, '61, '63, '62, '66, '60, '65, '64.
60 is still cool looking. 👀👍

I like the front of the 60 and back of the 61. Tie.
I was 8 years old in 1960. I liked the '60 Galaxie a lot. But when I saw that '61 for the first time, I felt like a new age had arrived! I walked from the Ford dealer to the Chevy dealer and took a peek at the '61 Chevy. Then the Cadillac dealer, Pontiac, Olds, Mercury...they were all along Youngstown's "miracle mile" near downtown. It was as if Dorothy's house had landed in black and white, and the door opened to a technicolor world!

@jkuvakas 1961 was certainly a major styling change for most marques. It used to be so much fun to visit the showrooms each September to see the new designs; one of my fondest memories. I used to get so excited!

Jk, I believe it was Dorothy who said "there's no place like a car dealership in September....there's no place like a car dealership in September!"
@jack-dodds, correct! She uttered it while clicking her bias ply tires together.

LOL!
In 1961 the two cars that really stunned this little fella with their new look was the Thunderbird and Lincoln. Many other cars were amazing of course as styling change was huge but those two were top of the pile for me.
