Sounding a lot like George there LOL
LOL, yea does resemble me, doesn't it? Only difference on this one is that I have no interest in either of those Oldsmobile's. In 1:24 scale, YES! But in REAL 1.1, NO!

Full-size Olds; love the '62, like the '57 & '63, you can keep the '60 & '61 & all the rest for that matter. I voted '61 because compared to the '58 - '60 it is beautiful but not to my liking.

Lol, yeah you're right but the '60 is so nondescript looking IMO. Just like someone else mentioned Pontiac styling for that year. I'm gonna mention that I love the '59 & '61 Impalas but the '60 is a bust for me.

George,
I seem to remember that I think you bought a 1:18 scale of the 61 olds. Is my mind deceiving me...🤔

SunStar did a beautiful diecast 1962 Oldsmobile in their SunStar Platinum line and I am delighted to have two of these replicas. It is a superb diecast model.

Well your mind isn't deceiving you, but it wasn't a '61 Oldsmobile. It's actually the Yat Ming 1:18 scale 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire that I purchased. And primary reason I bought it is because I owned a REAL '62 Olds Starfire exactly like the model.

@georgeschire Maybe if your wrestling trading card nets the big bucks you might just have another '62 Olds in your garage George!

Fair logic Jack. However, odd as this may seem, at my current age, I no longer have a yearning to have a REAL collector car. They require to much attention and care. This is why I love my little diecasts, as I can have as many of them as I want without any worries of them needing expensive repairs or breaking down. And I know, "never say never", but that's at least my mindset at present.

Can't say I'm a fan of either one, but I'm especially turned off by the pointed tail end of the '61. The '60 gets my vote.
