1961. I like its looks and its size.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Similar to Pontiac, to my eye Olds went backwards in styling from 1959 with the bland 1960. I prefer the '61.

I much prefer the crisper, smaller design of the '61 Olds; especially the styling of the tail end. The '60 design is uninspiring IMHO.
The '61 looks positively svelte compared to the '60. I like GM's '60s, but I always felt like the underlying theme for that year was, "Here's our new cars for this year. But wait till you see what we have for the next!" It felt like they were holdovers trying too hard to be different from the previous year.

It may well be excessive, but I've always loved the wallowing behemoth that is the 1960 Oldsmobile. Especially with rear fender skirts !
Not a fan of either, but I chose the 61 for the cleaner lines.
1961 just seems more balanced.
Anyone who has followed me on these Forums over the last 20 years, knows that I love Oldsmobile's. But NOT the '60 or '61 versions!
The "60 was bland and boring after the incredibly beautiful '59's. And then the '61 was awkward looking (to my eyes) with its "pointy and stubby" rear-end.
In 1962, GM got their bearings back and gave us the Oldsmobile beauty back. I vote "Sorry, no interest in this selection" for todays "Which One?".

Both are quite gorgeous (but absolutely different) automobiles and I have been delighted to see each of these vehicles in person. For many years, Oldsmobile was a beautiful car and it wasn't until those times closer to their sad end that they seemed to lose their way.
Having owned and restored a 1961 Starfire, It has to be the 61 for me.
