@100ford2003 Waaay too much information Steve. Lol.
135 on the Atlantic City Expressway in my C5. The Corvette dealer (Kerbeck) arranged to have a part of the expressway closed to other traffic for a Toys-4-Tots Corvette run. Quite a sight to see a few hundred Corvettes driving at crazy speeds. At 135 I kept to the right while other Corvettes zoomed past me like I was standing still. This event was repeated for a bunch of years. Amazed that we all survived.

In 1973. A friend drove a similar Pantera from Los Angeles to rural Minnesota to visit and to show off his new car. Incidentally, he was the same friend who rode his 80cc Yamaha 2-stroke motorcycle from Moorhead, MN to Los Angeles in the mid-1960's.
The V-65 Sabre was ridden to an indicated 141mph on a clear 3 mile stretch of road near Minneapolis, MN in the mid 1980's. It had been recently tuned, had new tires and a small windscreen. Only rode it anywhere near that speed one time. The world is a scary place at that speed on a bike.
Heading down route 3 (as a passenger) toward Cape Cod in a 73 Vette 454 , got a little aerodynamicly unstable at a buck twenty. Circa 1975 or 76 😱

1974 on PCH from Huntington Beach S/B towards Newport. About 3-4 AM in my '70 Trans-Am I raced a '74 T-A and hit about 115-120. I'm not sure exactly how fast I was going cuz I wasn't looking at the speedo. The driver of the other T-A told me he was doing indicated 115... and I beat him.
