Trickie! I went with the 53 because of its history and iconic status. I have a 2016 and not tempted to move up to the 2023.

Good for you, the E-Vette will be out soon anyway... wait for the 700+HP!
Very difficult decision John. A friend has a 2021 and I have driven it and it is fabulous. On the other hand I love the C1s for their history. The 53 is my pick because that's where it all began.
Sorry, but the 20-23 vettes are the only ones that I have really gotten excited about.
Sadly, neither tickles my fancy. Just can't get in to them, pun intended. Never been a fan of any Corvette. I sat in one just two weeks ago, felt like I was sitting on the sidewalk. Not for me.

I like the '53 for the historic value but I would get frustrated every time I drove it knowing I could have had the C8. I vote for the new one which has performance and handling the '53 would never have dreamed possible.

I love both of them for their own qualities. Wonderful American cars !
Neither! I never liked the ‘53-‘55 & I’m not a fan of the C8…anywhere else & I’d be happy.

Love the new C8 but I would want to own the 1953 version even more. Best still, one of each.
I went with the original Vette because of its place in automotive history. I have to say that although the latest Vette is amazing from an engineering perspective, I wouldn't want one. It seems to have moved up into the Lambo look, which never really turned my crank. For me the best years for Corvette by far were the stunningly beautiful '63 through '67.
I voted for the new one but could never afford one so I’ll keep the ‘79 that’s been in the family for 24 years now.

I could write more but Jack Dodds just above has stated his views so well that I can just agree. Back in '53 and '54 I had eyes for the Kaiser Darrin, too.
I vote for the 1953.
It would be great to have it in my garage keeping my 1972 Corvette and my two Harleys company.
I couldn't vote for the 2023 fast enough. I'm good with the base model, and they're starting to show up everywhere. At Cars & Coffee just this morning...
