The Buick is lovely but that Chrysler grille has been a longtime favorite. Chrysler by a nose.
I have long-loved the aero-styling of the '47 & '48 Buick. The lengthy jet-like ponton fenders flowing rearward is a styling turn-on! Then the New Yorker. Great, classic body styling of the Town & Country and this New Yorker, have also been a favorite. Not until now have I picked a favorite between them.
I favor the somewhat squarish, but formal design of the New Yorker!!
Congrats John; another FANTASTIC Comparo!!
I've always found these Chryslers to look so patrician. It wins for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Chrysler for me.

While the Buick is eye catching and majestic, the Chrysler exudes that extra style and class. Chrysler please John.
I like both as Danbury Mint 1:24 scale models. But in real car form, the Chrysler is more appealing to my eyes.

Chrysler for me although I do like some aspects of the Buick.

Love both, going with the Chrysler for sentimental reasons. When I was about 5 or 6 years old an uncle had a '47 Windsor which was quite similar to the '48. That was the first new car I ever rode in. I was much impressed with the dashboard, steering wheel and the column mounted shift lever. The car was equipped with Fluid Drive, a semi-automatic transmission. It was a black 4-door sedan. It had white surrounds (trim rings) on the rims, giving the impression of white walls.
