Very nice postwar Ford-Mercury automobiles ! I have a Yat Ming replica of the 1948 Ford, but not one yet of the equally attractive Mercury of that year.
I love them both but give the nod to the Mercury for its more attractive trim, grille, tail lights and interior.
Mercury simply because it's upmarket.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I'm going to go with a rare TIE today. Both are attractive in their own way. I'd not have either towed from my driveway.
However, the next year in '49, MERCURY without question steals the laurels from Ford. That '49 Mercury will always be one of the most iconic body styles for the Forties.

Ford for me. I like the cleaner lines.
The Ford is definitely a cleaner look but, in this case, I like all of the doodads on the Mercury.
I like them both, but the cleaner look of the Ford is a bit more appealing.

Don't care for car styling before '51, too old for me with the exception of the '48 to '54 Hudson. No interest in today's selections.
@bob-jackman I like the extra trim as well Bob, but I had to check other perspectives before giving the narrow win to the Mercury.
I went with the cleaner looking Ford. The extra chrome of the grill and front bumper were not enough to make it more appealing.
I voted for the Ford, but after seeing Jack's interior pics, I'm sorry I didn't go for the Mercury.

Like the less complicated grill of the Ford better than the Mercury.
I've always loved the look of the '48 Ford. That gets my vote.😊
