That is a very good looking Olds, but the '49 Mercury qualifies as "iconic" so it has to win for me today.

Iconic or not, I can't let the Mercury win over the Oldsmobile. I like both, so I vote a TIE.

I love them both but there's just something about a '49 Merc that gives it a very slight edge.

Very close, but the Mercury was just a little more distinctive than the Olds, perhaps because Chevrolet looked so similar.
