ABSOLUTELY the Buick, to my eye the '49 Buick is one of the all-time styling greats.
Plus, the "pregnant elephant" was not one of Packard's best designs.

I couldn't type BUICK any faster! The Packard in comparison just looks bulbous. As a side note, my dad owned a '49 Buick in the same body style. Likely that makes me a little bias, but seriously I do like the Buick styling way more.

Definitely the Buick,only thing the Packard has going for it in 49’ is it’s Name!

I prefer the more sleek and aggressive styling of the Buick. The Packard is nice, particularly as a 2dr., but is a bit bloated looking by comparison.
