A few years ago I would not have voted this way but I have surprised myself in warming up to the 1-year wonder "overbite Buick". I like it now because it is so very strange and different; quite a bold gamble by GM at the time IMHO. The DeSoto is very nice too but a bit dated and overly conservatively designed in comparison.
I voted for the Buick because it was so...well...Buicky!

I do not own a 'woody'. Always wanted one. If I were to be able to buy one of the above...wait for it...I'd buy the DeSoto.
I would rather own a standard Buick for 1950, than the standard DeSoto of that year. But as a woody, the Buick is only half-heartedly so. The DeSoto goes all - the - WAY!
The DeSoto is very nice but a bit dated and overly conservatively designed.
Well said, Jack; I voted for the Buick, too.

Buick here too

This was a "Battle of the Grills". And the DESOTO waterfall grill wins out over the toothy-overbite of the Buick.

Like Tony, that Buick looks like half a woody to me. DeSoto looks much better.
Buick but it was very close.
I voted DeSoto, just a better overall look as a woodie. 👍

Tough choice but I went with the Buick too, and that Studebaker next to it looks very interesting!

@david-vandermeer Several years ago Buz at Route 66 Models did a model of that one off Studebaker woody. He also did a one off Hudson woody.
