'50 Cadillac or Packard?

John, neither one interests me but if I had to choose between them (and I will to show my respect for all the time you spend here) I’d definitely pick the Packard as I’m not a Cadillac fan until the early ‘60s.

Each is such a beautiful American luxury cruiser from the beginning of the 1950's. I would be thrilled with real ones or diecast models of either automobile. I have some 1953 Cadillacs in different scales, but my closest Lincoln right now is about a 1948. My Grandparents had a real 1949 Lincoln Cosmopolitan.

The inverted bathtub Packard was more liable to get chuckles back in the day compared to the Caddy. But over the years, I have grown to love and appreciate the styling of such cars.
Still, today, as a Caddy owner, I'd love to have that vintage 62 Series convertible. Cadillac for me John but the Custom 8 Victoria is one gorgeous car.

That Packard is luxurious, for sure. But the bathtub designs of the late forties/early fifties never really sat well with me. The Caddy is pure class. It gets my vote. Great match-up, JB!
