LOL...Geoff, thanks for the Video and the pic.what an extraordinary looking car! Went off straight away in search of a model. There are a few 1/43s available, including this Marklin.

Puts me in mind of an early prototype Mazda Miata. A few similar styling cues. Overall, not a bad looking little machine. Thanks for more car education!
Yes, interesting styling and proportions. Very French. A pretty decent commercial success with almost 10,000 sold over 6 years or so. Praised for its handling and "fun factor" although performance was described by some testers as "modest" (0-60 in 15 seconds, top speed 95 mph) and it was relatively expensive.

It certainly caught the attention of 1:43 model producers. At various times it has been done in open top and/or closed versions by Norev, Solido, Marklin, Ixo and French Dinky No 1403 (and there is an Atlas Editions reproduction of the original Dinky).
