Tough one! The color on the Chevy takes it.

I had a hard time with this one. The Chevrolet looks great, much better than the Ford. I have to pick the Ford however. Having driven both, the Ford has a more predictable, if harder ride. The Chevrolet tended to wallow and screeched on relatively low corner speeds.

I went with the Ford in general for looks and drive train but not based on these 2 particular cars.  I must say I am not a big fan of the Crestliner trim.  The Chevy is an attractive car too; especially as a HT and I would be happy to have either in my garage.

I have always been a fan of the Crestliners and have many models of them in all scales.

'49 - '51 I prefer the Chevy styling but I'll take the Ford for handling and engine performance with the V8.  I really dislike the Crestliner paint scheme though.  Performance and non-Crestliner, the Ford please.

Having never driven either of them, I can not comment on which one is the better ride.  From a styling perspective, I like both cars a lot.  However, to my eyes the Chevy looks way more modern over the Ford.  So, I voted Chevy.

The Crestliner style has always been the most appealing, the more modern look of the Ford over the Chevy is the winner here.

Like both, but the Chevrolet as an edge over the Ford.

I agree.   Chevy wins.

I have always liked Crestliner trim and colours yet am trying to understand which is the more modern: they are of competing design schools, of which the GM product won. The Chevrolet does look more establishment whereas the Ford has a 'difference' about it, that gets my vote.

The first car I ever drove on the highway was my uncle's '50 Chevy, a 2-door hardtop just like the one pictured, complete with automatic transmission.  Later, my first car was a '51 Chevy torpedo-bodied 2 door, always dependable but prone to rust.  My college roomie had a '49 Ford but with a 6 cylinder engine, the first  I had ever seen.  Good memories!  My choice?  Both or either. Ford for its style, but not the Crestliner trim though.
