I have always loved the 49-51 Merc's but in this duo, I had to go with the Hudson with it's sleek lines.

Mercury styling wins by a nose.  The thick windshield header detracts from the overall attractiveness of the Hudson.

Like both, similar but the Hudson is my pick this time.

Agree with Jack, Mercury looks better as a convertible.

Both beauties but that Hudson profile gives it a slight edge. 👀

What a decision! Bono, you're killing me here!  Laughing Out Loud

Jack's right; the Hudson's windshield header casts a strange eye to the designer who allowed that to happen to the drop top. Besides, even though I'm an old codger, back in the day, the Merc was cool and the Hudson was said to be for old codgers! Too late to look cool in the Merc? HA!

Mercury all the way. I like the Hudson but the Hudson was an old man's car back in the day while the Mercury was cool then and even cooler today with its flathead V8. I agree with Jack's comments regarding the Hudson's windshield header.

I like them both but I'm gonna step up to a Step-down and vote for the Hudson.

I'm with Tony, you're killing me Bono!  Both are very popular on my "favorite cars list", so with regret, I have to vote TIE.

Both terrific, but I voted Mercury for the same header reason.
