I voted Packard. The '53 Caddy is about as iconic as an American car can get. But for the vote, I first ask myself, which one would I rather own right now. The Packard is beautiful and styled so much different than the Cadillac - I want one!
I agree with Tony. I love the Caddy but this particular Packard is gorgeous.
Good man! (Your check's in the mail)
"Snail mail"? You'll be lucky if it ever gets there. You should have gone with FedEx overnight. How do I know? Just ask the man who used to work for the USPS. 😂
They are both such beautiful automobiles and I have diecasts of each in more than one color. You can't get more gorgeous than these two stunners !
Packard was a respected standard of excellence in '53, but against the Cadillac, it is old styling and bulbous. Very much an "old guys" car.
Funny how two sets of eyes look at the same thing and see something completely different! To me, it's the Cadillac that looks old and bulbous - look at the height of the hood vs. the Packard!
That's what makes us all unique. We each see things in different ways. I re-looked at both photos and my mind is NOT changed. The Packard is not an attractive car when parked next to the well styled Cadillac. Sorry.

LOL, George maybe you should take a third look... The Packard is absolutely DDG compared to that fat ugly looking Cadillac LOL.
Ok, I I know we beg to differ and that's what helps us get along so well !
Either "Showboat" from 1953 would fit the bill if you were out to strut your stuff. Tough call...today I'm going with the Packard.

LOL, I could stare at those two cars all day, and have someone holding a loaded revolver to my temple telling me I have to vote for the Packard, or else. I won't choose the Packard. I'm letting them shoot me.
