Merc just a beauty.  I always liked those early 50s Pontiacs and that DeSoto is handsome as well, but the stance of that Merc is number 1 here.

The DeSoto is my first choice here. This was my wife’s ride when I first met her.

This one was tough for me with the DeSoto and Mercury.  I really like both a lot, but the DeSoto for that "toothy" grill edges the Mercury to 2nd place.  I'm ho-hum for the Pontiac.

Sleek Mercury followed by DeSoto.

Really, none of the them were of any interest.  Sorry on this set.

The Mercury is definitely the most modern, and I have always loved the '54 Pontiac Star Chiefs, so it's very difficult, but I'm going for the Firedome as its grille has such character.

@david-green I cannot help, thinking your wife-to-be must've cut quite a dash at the helm of a huge beast like this.

@charles-rockett

Yes Charles. She loved large vehicles all her life, loving driving them. She got her licence within a month of her 16th birthday. I was more interested in mainly British sports cars so for most of out life together, we had at least two vehicles of different sizes. Lois, my wife died in September after 61 years of marriage and 5 years of dating before that. We had a great run. No regrets in vehicles or life.

@david-green David, my condolences to you on the loss of your wife. 61 plus yrears is a good run although they are never long enough. Lori and I are into out 58 years of marriage and she has put up with my 6,000 plus model collection and three 1/1 collector cars. We are very blessed to have found mates to share life's experiences.

DeSoto, Tie between the Mercury and Pontiac for second. My dad had a 1954 Pontiac Star Chief Custom sedan and I can still remember the luxury ride that car had and the whisper quiet smoothness of that, last year. straight eight engine.

Tough call for me. Today it's the Pontiac, followed by the Mercury and the DeSoto close behind.
