As much as I loved my dad's 54 Pontiac Star Chief Custom, I have to go with the DeSoto this time.

I love both cars, but side to side, the DESOTO wins hands down. Looks more modern and the grille is a killer.

DeSoto has better and more aggressive styling. I like the Pontiac a lot too but.....

As much as I like Pontiac, DeSoto gets my vote in this comparison.

Much prefer the DeSoto especially with the Firedome V8.

Another vote for the DeSoto, The Pontiac is nice, but just doesn't compare to the DeSoto.
