'55 DeSoto or Pontiac?

I like both makes of automobile. But model-wise, I'm not thrilled with either car or the year made.
So what I have to do is envision owning either one and attending a car show for either the DeSoto or the Pontiac.
PONTIAC - the club guys are cooler and the girls are prettier.

Both of these 1955 automobiles are absolute favorites ! Part of the great appeal of the DeSoto is Groucho. And part of the high regard for the beautiful Pontiac is the fact that my family had a brand-new '55 Pontiac for many reliable years. I am delighted to have several diecast replicas of each of these great cars.

Easy win for the DeSoto here. It's got great looks while the Pontiac looks unresolved to me.

For years I would have chosen the Pontiac. While I still like it, I do prefer the DeSoto lines more at this point. Good choice John.

No interest. In 1955, I would have bought a Ford, Mercury, Plymouth or Chevrolet.

Like the DeSoto but love the Pontiac. The color split on the Pontiac is terrific and used by several builders of custom cars for it's simplicity.

Nice comparo! The front grille on the Pontiac never really settled with me. I'll take the DeSoto.

As close as it gets to a tie but I don't like doing that so I give the nod to the Pontiac as I am a lifelong fan of the marque.
