Park those three together and I believe the lone standout would be the Cadillac to most eyes. It has mine today and I rank it in first. The Lincoln Capri, for its clean lines and the close-behind Imperial for third.

ditto here as well. 😎👍

Tony nailed this one. I would rank the Lincoln closer to the Caddy but for those mysteriously absent headlight surrounds. What was up with that? What were they thinking?

Lincoln put the chrome trim rings around the headlights but left the body-bezels/surrounds off to distract from the fact that they were using the same type of Dagmar's as Cadillac!Tony nailed this one. Cadillac styling for the easy win IMHO, then Imperial and Lincoln in that order.
'54 I would have bought a Mercury.
No interest in today's selections. Never had an interest in luxury cars.
I'm with the crowd here. Imperial and Lincoln look very similar to their respective Chrysler and Mercury mid-priced family members, while Cadillac looks the luxury-car part.

To me, the Lincoln is the only choice here. It is more compact while still carrying premium features. I believe it handled better on the road. The other pair, a distant third.
Cadillac all the way. I place Lincoln second although I don't understand the negative comments about the headlight trim. Does every car made have to have headlight surrounds?
I like the Lincoln a lot and my attention to the headlights are not so much a criticism or negative as much as an odd departure from their other brand's headlight presentation.Cadillac all the way. Most familiar are the fifties headlights with body bevels or metal surrounds like those of the Ford:
or the Mercury:
Lincoln's lights are protruding beyond the body line and wholly different than their siblings. Perhaps more side illumination was the thought here - not sure.
Lincoln:
CADILLAC!
It looks 10 years more modern than the other two. The Imperial looks like it was forgotten in mid-1940's and the Lincoln looks like it was struggling to make it out of 1950.
General Motors nailed the '54 Caddy after the more bulbous '53 and then in '55 with a little more tweaking it was just a year away from the drop-dead gorgeous '56.
Some here will recall that I've said, the '56 Cadillac is the most beautifully styled car of the fifties from all of the Big Three automakers. It just oozed royalty.

OK, I'll be a bit different than the group with my choice. The Lincoln Capri and the Chrysler Imperial are, for my eyes, just perfect in every way. The '54 Lincoln is just slightly ahead of the Chrysler, almost a tie. The Cadillac is nice but just doesn't improve the old multiple-year style as well as the other two. Now had you included a Packard in this group, it would have been my 1st choice. 1954 was an excellent styling year for all manufacturers and these are all at the top of their game here.

I gotta go with the Caddy today for that 'Florentine curve'.
