Caddy looks pure gangster, I love it. I don’t know exactly why, but when I glanced at the Chrysler I thought of the ‘Jetsons’.
Not necessarily a bad vision, just a little weird. I did like Uncle Billy’s ‘61 Imperial from ‘leave it to Beaver though.
Two magnificent luxury automobiles !
I chose the big, bold, in your face Imperial. I’m not much of a Caddy fan. The Jetsons was one of my favorites.

Love both. But, the Caddy has awkward fins; they're angled at two different directions. And the roof slants backwards. Going with the Imperial!
I voted a tie. Not a Cadillac fan but the fins and taillights are interesting. The shape and slant of the roof is new. To me it shows some experimentation in design. The Imperial roof is definitely neat. I think I like the dual headlights better but not sure yet.
I'm going with the Caddy, but it is a toss-up for me. This generation of Imperial never really captured my fascination. This Caddy is not my favorite of the fifties Cadillacs.

This year Cadillac is my favorite Caddy of its decade. I agree with others that the fins are odd but I love the look. I like the Imperial very much but it's no match for the Cadillac. The single headlight also looks great on both cars.
I find both of these far too big and bulky. I do prefer the Cadillac design over the Imperial.
Cadillac for its proportions.

To my eye, Cadillac for '57 looks downsized compared to its immediate predecessor and successor, and loses some of its "presence" as a result.
Just sayin', as I would have voted for the Imperial anyway!

Not into luxobarges. The '57 along with the '62 are my favorite Cadillac and the only ones I like the styling of. Not a Caddy fan and don't care for any of the Imperial styling.
Tie for me as well. That's the '57 Caddy I wish DM would have given us. I never cared much for the tadpole rump of the Eldorado. I do like both of these alot.😊
