The 55 Caddy is too iconic to lose to the Imperial. But the Imperial is too gorgeous to lost to the Caddy - just look at those wheels. Tie for me John.

@perrone1 Tie for me for the reasons stated by Tony and I'm the owner of a 55 Imperial. I took mine to a cruise in over this last weekend where the majority of cars were modified. I was proud of the old girl as she had admirers around her all day asking lots of questions. The Imperial scripts on the front fenders led three different people to ask what year Impala she was....this happens with some regularity by people who otherwise appear educated.

I LOVE both of these cars but there is no way any other luxury HT can beat the absolutely gorgeous '55 Imperial in this model year. Great colors John....well done!

Dagmar's [bullets] on the Caddy are ridiculously too large and it just looks the part of riding like a boat [low and heavy].

Well Tony said it best with his first comment, "The 55 Caddy is too iconic to lose to the Imperial". And I couldn't agree more!
The 54, 55, and then 56 Cadillac is an example of "Good, Better, Best". The small tweaks for each of those three years produced an automobile look that was never to that point, and never since, been duplicated.
So this "Which One?" is easy for me, it's CADILLAC without hesitation. As a P.S. I will add that I do like the Imperial too, but sitting side-by-side the Caddy, it looks old and dated.

It's the Imperial for me. '55 Imperial has style were the Caddy looks tired and old.

No hesitation from me...the Imperial ! 70 yrs young and it still looks this good. The Caddy = Blah. I'd spend time poring over the Imperial and just walk past the Caddy. Thanks John.
