Ford. I find the Mercury to be overwrought.

I’ve always been fond of the (more familiar to me) 56 Fairlane but I could learn to love that Merc.  Merc get my vote tonight.

I don't like to vote "TIE".  But I could look at these two all night, all day tomorrow, and a month of tomorrow's after that, and I'd NOT be able to say I like one over the other.  To my eyes, model year 1956 was a banner year for all cars from the Big Three, and these two are neck and neck.  TIE!

Both are beautiful to my eye but the Fairlane is a much cleaner, cohesive design IMO.

Call it a tie IMO.  Both are parades even when only one is being driven down the street.  These are NOT cars that try to blend into traffic.

Love them both but I'm going with the more refined Fairlane.
