Both are quite nice but I prefer the DeSoto Fireflite.

I love the Dodge, but against the DeSoto, the DESOTO WINS! It was the last of the nicely styled DeSoto's to my eyes. For the remainder of the brands run, I could have cared less about them and would have chosen any of its Chrysler cousins over it. But for '56 it ruled.
