Both are quite nice but I prefer the DeSoto Fireflite.

DeSoto more refined, elegant and sportier than the very cool Dodge.

I agree with Frank and David (but I bought and drove a '56 Plymouth.)

I love the Dodge, but against the DeSoto, the DESOTO WINS!  It was the last of the nicely styled DeSoto's to my eyes.  For the remainder of the brands run, I could have cared less about them and would have chosen any of its Chrysler cousins over it.  But for '56 it ruled.

They are both basically the same car, so I went with a tie.

Somehow I missed this poll! DeSoto by a landslide and that's with me also liking the Dodge. The colors on the DeSoto are particularly appealing.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
