You picked the best possible color combo for the Turnpike Cruiser, John (I have the Danbury Mint one) and, Dodge was my least favorite of the '57 ChryCo lineup, so I voted for the Mercury!

@moe-parr Barry, I too have the DM Turnpike Cruiser in that color. I agree with your pick and thoughts.

I also prefer the Mercury in this pairing liking its lines more than the Dodge. That pink was classic for the period.

I had to stay with my roots.  The Dodge for me.

@carsman1958

While MoPar is not my roots exactly, the Turnpike Cruiser had some nice touches, but too many of them. The Jetson's antennas in the front roof lip was just my camel's back breakage straw. I voted Dodge.  (At least the Merc didn't have those Girlie-Girl super-long fender skirts - so it looks a LOT better. Laugh )

How loud can I shout MERCURY?  That's my vote without any hesitation at all.  Dodge's until 1961 weren't allowed even a second look from me.

Dodge please; the '57 - '60 Mercurys are just too over done for my taste.  '57 I would have bought a GMC product or the DeSoto or a T-bird. If I could have afforded one & had a drivers license in '57.

The Mercury TPC is my pick, but the Dodge is nice too.
