The 1957 Chevrolet BelAir was my courting car so it has special significance.

I'd take of the skirts though. Definitely the 1957 Chevrolet!

Pontiac for me. The Chevy is a victim of overexposure, and I prefer the other Tri Five Chevys.  Pontiac started it's fifteen year roll this year.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I love both cars and agree that the Chevy suffers from over exposure at shows......but I pick the Chevy styling by a nose 1955 through 57.

No sure thing as overexposure. If you got it flaunt it. '57 Chevrolet over the Pontiac, any day, any time.

For me the Pontiac has a better overall look, I appreciate the '57 Bel Air but the Pontiac is far more rare and distinctive.

I'm with John M on this one. I like both but the Pontiac and what it stands for beat out the Chevy.

I think the word used by others "overexposed" sums it up for the Chevy.  Any car show I attend, there is always a half dozen or more '57 Chevy's.  I'm to the point that if I've see one, I've seen them all.

This said, I've always liked the Pontiac for '57 better than the Chevy.  Though Pontiac's from '55 to '57 have never been referred to as "Tri-Pontiac's", they certainly could be, as the '55 offered (as did Chevy) a new body style and look.  It continued (again like Chevy) for '56, with the '57 being the beauty of the three year run.

PONTIAC FOR ME!

I know this is sacrilege, but I've never been keen on the '55, '56 and most especially 1957 Chevrolets. To my mind they lack substance. Whilst the Pontiac has definite presence.

Always loved the front clip of the '57 Chevy but disliked side trim & rear styling.

Loved the '57  Cadillac & Pontiac & Oldsmobile in that order.

Of the Chevy tri-five the only one I like is the '55. Always liked the '57 front. Always disliked the '56.
