Buick. I have always liked the beautiful 57 and can't believe what they did to the 58 and the Oldsmobiles.

Chrysler, looks sportier and more modern. Don't care for the bumpers overly predominate ends and the side trim that looks like a big check mark [dives down in front of the rear wheel] on the Buick.

I have a slight preference to the Chrysler. The Buick colouring puts me off somewhat despite generally liking those colours..

I much prefer the Buick styling in spite of it looking a bit dated by comparison.  This era of Chrysler design never did much for me.

I voted a tie but after further consideration I give a slight nod to the Chrysler but I can't go back and change my vote.

John, I can hear that evil chuckling all the way here to the Smoky Mountains! I love both these cars for different reasons. The Roadmaster Convertible is a styling masterpiece. The fifty-seven New Yorker is an elegant heartthrob with angel wings.

And although, much the same as David, above, there were much nicer color combos for the Roadmaster, it gets my vote. It has simple single headlights. an all-business grille, unlike the jovial and playful example that the New Yorker sports. Its fins are nicely understated and the top stows neatly under the cover and not in your face.

I voted for the Roadmaster but closer than before I studied the photos. That New Yorker is pretty sharp and daring in 57.  😎👍

Buick, especially in those raffish colors. Even because of them.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Easy one for me.  BUICK!  I like everything about it, and especially in that two-tone version.  I like the Chrysler too, but NOT a fan of that color.

The sportier Chrysler for me.  Maybe it was the color, just something you do not see today.

These are my 2 favorite makes of car. Buick for '57 was an excellent evolution of the '56 but Chrysler in 1957 was 2 styling generations ahead of GM so it gets my vote!

Two gorgeous cars from 1957...it's the Buick for me by a hair.
