Both are sharp in red but I prefer the less rounded lines of the Lincoln Premiere.

'57 my favorit Caddy.  '56 would be the Lincoln.  '58 would be the Caddy.

Okay, it breaks down like this for me.  First off, I voted for the LINCOLN.

Now that said, I'm not fond of the rather drastic fins that Lincoln had for '57 after their beautiful and more subtle fins of their '56.

As for the Cadillac for '57, I've never really warmed up to it after the (in my opinion) drop-dead gorgeous '56, which I think is the most beautifully styled car from any of the Big Three in the Fifties.  This said, I think (again, my opinion) the '56 Lincoln was a close second to the '56 Caddy.

But for '57 they both went somewhat south for my taste.

I really like the Cadillac, but when I look at the design and style-I have to go with the Lincoln.

No contest here IMO; Cadillac by 10 miles.  One of my favourite years for this marque.

Cadillac for me. I still have trouble understanding how they could have done this to the beautiful 56 Lincoln.

Me too.  It almost looks like an 11th hour desperate move by the design crew to include a fin; it looks tacked on.  Ruined a beautiful car.

The Lincoln's not bad, but it can't compare to the Cadillac.

The Cadillac.  I have a particular fondness for the 1957 as it was the first Cadillac I rode in as a youngster.  It was a black Sedan de Ville with factory air.  The Lincoln is lovely, though, even with it's wild fins.  Oops! 😬 I mean "stabilizers." 😉
