While the Pontiac is a perfectly fine car, I have an effection for DeSoto which might not be logical, but I love it.

I still love the lines of the DeSoto, especially from the side. Pontiac has more frills than I care for in fifty-eight. DeSoto for me if you please.

Not that I don't like the Pontiac, which I do very much, but to my eye the DeSoto is miles ahead!

At first thought I like the Pontiac (I like a 58 Chevy more),  but ended up voting DeSoto for it cleaner lines and cool headlight/front fenders treatment.  🤔

Another DeSoto vote. It's spectacularly good looking, especially in those colors.

I love the Pontiac too, but I agree it's got too many decorative pieces sullying its lines, especially compared to the DeSoto.

I like the DeSoto but the Pontiac is one of my favorite Indians. Pontiac for me.

WOW!  This one surprised me with the number of votes for the DeSoto.  It's PONTIAC for me!  With the exception Chrysler Corps "Chrysler", I thought their '58 line-up was a disaster after their beautiful '56's.  As for the PONTIAC, it like all of its siblings in the General Motors stable (with the exception of Cadillac) were drop-dead gorgeous to my eyes.

@georgeschire - Like you George, I'm surprised by the results of the voting. For me the '58 Pontiac was one of the better looking and better performing cars of the era. The DeSoto is nice but old looking and stuffy when compared to the crisp and futuristic '58 Pontiac.
