I know I've said this before, but I can't think of even one Oldsmobile that I would choose over the comparable Buick.

Good choices today, John - as usual!

Similar but I prefer the lines of the Oldsmobile.

Buick for me. My favorite GM design for 59.

@moe-parr; 1962 & 1963 Starfire over any Buick.

Not a fan of GMC styling/design ['61 - '64 were good]. Shut Mouth

Liked FoMoCo in full-size [especially '50 - '69] Mid-size ['63 - '69] pony ['68, '69]. Smile

Liked Chrysler Corp. in full-size [liked '55 - '59 & '65 - '72], mid-size [loved '65 - '71] compact [loved '68 - '71] pony ['70, '71]. Inlove

Of course there are exceptions that I like.  Any American car between 1950 to 1971 I appreciate [except Buick & Olds 1958 & 1959] if in good original or restored condition I would not say no to if a gift, the ones I like I would pay for if I had the MONEY & space.

@georgeschire  I agree George......except that I give the nod to the Olds by a pug nose.  Lol.  Reverse it in 1960 though.

@georgeschire  I agree....but then came the beautiful 1961s; now there's a tough comparison!

@georgeschire  George; in my eyes 61 was overall GM's best styling year of that decade but I also think 62 thru 65 were outstanding years as well.  For example, the 62 Olds and Impala are my faves of that decade for those marques. When you consider their entire lineup, including trucks, GM was amazing throughout the decade IMO.  I will exclude the 67 Pontiac however...except the Grand Prix of course.  Lol.

Neither.  Mopar ruled in '59!
