A rare tie for me. Neither does much for me.

Love the Mercury.  The Dodge is just too weird for my taste.

I have owned both [well used] and the Mercury was the better car in my opinion.

I agree with Ed & Frank - neither car lights my fire. Also agree with Bruce, that the Polara has weird features.

John, you've done it again; tasked us with a super hard choice. I had to look at other pics to decide.

dodge
merc

By a slight margin - Merc!!

Rare vote against the Mopar for me. I love Mercury for '60, '61, and '62 so it gets my vote today.

Polara for me. My dad bought a 61 Polara four door hardtop new which surprised me as he had never owned a MoPar product before. While the car was somewhat quirky style wise, the performance from that 383 was outstanding. If a 1/1 Polara hardtop came on the market today I would have to buy it provided it was rust free.

LOL...Bob the rust would make it more credible...don't you think?

I went with the Polara.  Love the nose and tail on this one.  It is so different from everything else that it makes it stand out.

Both look a little bulky to me. While quite different in design, I do have trouble picking a preference. Like Ed, I’m going for a tie.

Mercury for me.  I have always like the styling of this year Mercury very much and disliked the look of the Dodge.

I'd rather be seen in that distinctive looking Dodge instead of that Ford clone.
