IMPERIAL! I was a huge fan of Chrysler Corporations 1961 line-up.

I’m take a ride in the Imperial this time.
Cadillac by far for me....my fave year of that decade.
For me, no contest... The Imperial !!

Another very tough one. I lean toward the Caddy because...well..CADDY! But, ultimately, my vote goes to the Imperial for those over-the-top headlights and taillights.

Tough choice but Imperial wins.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
My favorite year for both the Caddy and Imperial. I pick the Cadillac because IMO every square inch of the Cadillac is perfect from the parking lights to the tail lights. My opinion is influenced, I'm sure, by the fact that my dad owned a 62 Cadillac CDV.

Those headlights and taillights were what does it for me too. The same with the '61 Plymouth's "tacked-on" bullet taillights, and that far-out grille, which was odd looking in '61, but seems that on current day Toyota's and Lexis's it has made a return.

Gotta go with the Imperial, while the Cadillac looks great it still looks 60s average in comparison to the Imperial!
Two BIG boats! I remember looking at both, and watching them drive around our little town (mostly summertime tourist traffic). They were quiet, luxurious, and far beyond a young school teacher's dreams. If I remember correctly, their prices were just about the same as my yearly contract.
But even young teachers could dream. The Imperial didn't have the heritage of Cadillac, and it also didn't have the public reception. But I like the Imperial better, perhaps because of the audacity of its builders. Whew! Today a drive down any small town main street in this Imperial would have the impact of a parade! Well, perhaps only a minor parade, but yet. . . So put me in the Imperial admiration line.
But I can't find the Imperial for '62 in my favorite scale of 1/43!
