Once again, we are into large cars that I don't find particularly appealing. That said, I have always liked the looks of the Lincoln Continental 3.
Although the Lincoln is a beauty, I chose the Caddy because I prefer a two door.

My dad bought the only Cadillac he ever owned in 1962, a Coupe DeVille. The quality of that car was beyond belief and showed why Cadillac was the "Standard of the World" back then. All three of these choices are wonderful John B. but I pick the Cadillac for personal reasons. I have driven examples of all three of these cars and nothing comes close to the Cadillac in refinement.
For once I simply cannot decide, so I voted a tie. Had they been 1961s, it would be difficult, but I'd probably vote Lincoln for its grille. Then again...

I pick the beautiful Cadillac as it is my favorite Caddy of its decade and its styling is well ahead of the other two. I pick Imperial second by a nose over Lincoln because it is a 2drht. If these cars were 1961s the Lincoln would win.
There is only two classic Caddies I like the '57 and the '62. The '58 and the '61 are nice, same basic cars as the'57 and '62.
This one was downright easy! The CADILLAC is number one by a landside! Followed by the Imperial. Then the Lincoln, but with the note that of every American car built in '62, it would be way, way at the bottom of my list.

I'm torn between the neo-classic Imperial and the Lincoln, one of my all-time favorites. If I had to write a check, it would be for the Lincoln. I would spend a lot of time just opening and closing those doors!

Lincoln without shadow of doubt.
@david-green David, I'm rarely pedantic but I believe the various iterations are these: Continental (made by Lincoln) '40/'48, Continental II (stand alone division) '56/'57, Continental III (stand alone division) '58, IV '59, V '60 (I think independent Continental division ended before the new look '61 but am not sure).
The New, 1961 Lincoln Continental did not have a Mark number but ran as Lincoln Continental through '61/'63, '64/'65, '66/'69 changes. Until the 1968/'71 Continental MkIII and 1972/76 Continental MkIV. All very confusing and contradictory, but that is, I believe, the history.
Hi Charles,
I’m have not followed the Lincoln Continental development other than the pre-war versions. I called this one Continental 3 from John Bono’s picture title. Guess that was because it was 3rd picture in a series rather than the car title. Oh, well. You know your Continentals, for sure. I learned something new.
@david-green As I said earlier, being a pedant is never a good look, but having waded through this mess for years I like to clarify it at any point, if anyone will listen! My father was working at Ford European head office, Warley in the late '60s and I remember all the hoop-la when the Continental III was issued in '68. Plus, having loved the Lincoln Continental '61 since birth practically, there was a lot to sort out. Ford do not make it easy!

David, you got that right. The "3" represents the third picture in a series of 1962 Lincoln Continentals.

Imperial is my choice followed by Lincoln with the Cadillac a very, very close 3rd.

Can make a case for each one but for me it's the Cadillac, Lincoln and Imperial by the closest of margins.
