The Dodge shares it's body with Chrysler and the Mercury shares it's body with Ford. Very slight edge to the Dodge.
So much alike when comparing them side by side. Who knew? Apparently YOU did!
WOW; I could easily go with a tie - neither are a favorite, although I would love to own either one. By the shadow of a whisker, I'm voting Mercury. Why? Because it is a Monterey; one of my favorites places.
I did vote a tie. Neither sets itself in front of the other to me.

Neither do anything for me, but I prefer the Dodge.
Baggy convertible top doesn't do either car any favours here. Apart from that, I find the Mercury really lacks any inspired stylistic touches, and the Dodge bodywork is more "imaginative" (in its odd sort of way) so purely in terms of visual interest I vote for the Dodge.

Both cars look like customized renditions of their parent company namesakes. I like Chrysler's version of the DODGE much better than I do Ford's version of the Mercury.

The Dodge is my choice John. The Mercury is just a little bit too "frumpy" ooking for me so I don't like it.

Mercury gets the nod today. Neither of these cars do much for me; especially the Dodge. The Mercury is a marque I generally love (excluding '57 to '59) but the grille on the '62 is a bit bland and its tail lights are rather odd looking IMHO; I much prefer the shoulder years.
I rather like both but lean slightly to the Mercury.
Yeah, I voted Dodge as well, for its uniqueness.😊
Both are kind of Ho-Hum in their styling but if I am forced to pick, I'll go with the Mercury, although if they had been the hardtop versions I'd gone with the Dodge.

Can't get excited about either one...for me it's a tie.
Gents, thanks for your responses!
