By 1965, I was into Chryslers as my father-in-law owned and loved them. Me too, except for his cigar smoking whenever he was in it.

The '65/'66 Electra looked better as a 4-door, to my eye. The rear quarters on the 2-door look too long and boxy to me.

The Chrysler New Yorker's distinct (from the Newport and 300) roofline, with the padded vinyl inserts, looks great to me, it gives the car a formal yet sporty look. Chrysler gets my vote!

Tough call, but the Chrysler looks better to my eyes.

I really like both but slight edge to the Chrysler for the roof line.

Slight edge to the lines on the Chrysler.

Have to be honest, neither one really excites me.  By 1965 both cars were near Yacht like in bulky appearance.  But if push came to shove, I'd take the Chrysler over the Buick.

I much prefer the sleeker styling of the Buick over the comparatively mundane Chrysler.  Different in '66 though.

Chrysler for me.  It was my Mom's first new car.  65 Chrysler Newport, 383 ci.  It was supposed to become my car when I turned 16, but my older brother wrecked it before I could drive.  So there went my Chrysler.

One of the rare times I’ll pick a Chrysler from the 60s 1st. If it was Wildcat, the pick would be different. I never cared for the look of the Electra’s rear fenders

Love the Buick, to me it appears more luxurious than the Chrysler.
