This is yet another difficult choice as I really like both designs. For me, this was the high point of Plymouth design for the sixties. But I also love the Ford, which seems to me to have gotten better each year since 1960. So, today I vote for the Ford.

I voted Ford. But only by a 'smidge'.
This was tough! I'm thankful it wasn't 1965 or I'd be totally stymied (to me they look better the previous year).
I voted Plymouth because I don't like what Ford did to the fantastic 1965 in 1966, while the Plymouth facelift isn't so bad.

Ford but not by much. 👍

My thoughts exactly, Ed!

I voted PLYMOUTH over Ford. The Plymouth was a much more subtle styling to my eyes, while the Ford still reeked of the boxy and square '65 look.
Plymouth's best looking cars of the 1960's were 61, 63, 65, and 66. Ford's best looking for the 1960's were 60, 62, 63, and 64.
After that, forget it for both brands, unless we are talking their muscle cars, then that's a whole different animal.

Hate to say that I did not vote for the Plymouth in this grouping. Just like the design of the Ford better.
Like them both a lot, but the Ford by a hair.
Like them both but Plymouth by a hair.
Ford by a mile over Plymouth this year. I like both cars better in 1965 though, especially Plymouth. IMHO the Plymouth grille and especially the taillights were far more attractive in '65.
I like both but voted Ford because I prefer the open rear wheel well over the Plymouth's skirted. I'm not sure what it looks like if removed. Removal might change it's style/design entirely so that's why I chose Ford.
This Mopar guy voted Ford - the skirts & the raggedy-looking soft-top ruined the Plymouth for me this time.

Both were interesting vehicles in 1966. I chose another for my ride that year, the Chevelle SS, but of these two, the Ford has priority. Thanks John.
@bob-jackman Bob are we splitting hairs here?
