Oh no. Too tough. Uh, uh; can't be done. Has to be a tie. Oh NUTS! Let me look again..........
By the width of a puppy's whisker, I'm going with the Toronado. Those wide wheel arches, wicked-cool front end sculpture and low & lean look came into its own by '66. The Buick is still a beautiful car but at this stage, past its glorious past.
Riviera for me. It's just prettier.

This was quite easy for me, Buick. Styling restraint makes this an elegant statement for me.
Both beautiful cars though I am not fond of either one, I prefer the Olds, it always intrigued me with it's styling and front wheel drive while the Buick was just another beautiful car that I didn't care for the styling of.
Two very similar cars with totally different personalities. The Buick is sleek and elegant with flowing lines and soft edges. The Toronado is broad-shouldered, brawny with shape edges, and likes to flex its muscles. In a toss up vote, I went with the Riviera.

John, John, oh John....why did I ever click on this...😵💫 What a dilemma I've got ! I 💕 both. As a 13yr old car nut there were so many beautifully styled cars coming out of Detroit. Both of these got my attention. I choose the Riviera as that is the car I would prefer to have in my driveway. Sorry Tony, even though I loved the '63-64 Riviera I was not a fan of the '65. I liked the exposed headlights. IMO, the '66-67 Riviera's didn't give up their "glorious past" but took it in a new and beautiful vibrant direction. The '68-69 were just ok. After those years 👎
For me the Buick. I was never a fan of the Toronado. Probably because it was front wheel drive and that went against what an automobile was rear wheel drive.
Toronado for me please, John.
I can appreciate Oldsmobile's deliberate attempt to make the Toronado styling more "butch" and aggressive than the Riviera, but I never really warmed to it. The '66 Buick is a smooth and well-balanced piece of styling. Shame it only retained its pure form for a couple of years before they started progressively messing it around. But that's another story. '66 Riviera for me.

Both are beautiful but it's the Riviera that gets my vote. To me the Riviera is more refined and not in your face like the Toronado.
Gents, thanks for your responses.

Thanks for making this a "very easy" comparison... 👿
To me, that Riviera looks as good if not better than when it rolled off its assembly line. I love it ! I would rather have it than any new car available today.
