I purchased a Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible in 1966. Closest to it here would be the Pontiac although a bit too large. Dodge would be my next choice here and then Mercury.
This is another tough one. Normally, I would dice it out between the Mercury and the GP. But that Dodge is a Monaco 500. They had a DDG interior and were a good-looking design. I'd probably still go for the GP, but both other offerings would be tight right in there.
Here's the Monaco 500 interior,

Pontiac for sure, but the Dodge makes a lovely second choice.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Much as I like that Dodge, the Pontiac's got it beat, with Mercury third, though still very nice looking.

Having owned a '66 Pontiac Grand Prix in the exact same color and bring that it was the car I picked up my girlfriend with in October 1972 for a first date, I have to pick the PONTIAC. I of course no longer have the car, but that girlfriend and I are still together and will celebrate next week 50 years since we got engaged and then this coming January 2024, we'll be married 50 years. I think the Pontiac was a Lucky Charm.

George, great reason for picking the GP. Congratulations on your upcoming 50-year anniversary.

The Mercury wins this one IMO. I like the squarish styling of FOMOCO in this era. Pontiac is second by a nose over Dodge. I much prefer the look of the 1965 model year for these two.
