The Mustang was the clear winner in the Bullitt movie over the Dodge Charger. It was good enough for Steve McQueen and it is good enough for me.

Slight edge to the Mustang.

Have to agree with Bob Jackman on this one. The '68 Charger is the best of that breed but the Bullitt Mustang has a very slight edge, here.

This year Charger is IMHO the best year Chryco made; the R/T is to die for.  I am a Mustang LOVER but this Charger beats the '68 Stang.  It's actually a bit difficult to compare as these two are Muscle car vs. Pony car.

Sorry, but the Mustang Fastback body style has never been appealing to me.  On the other hand, the Charger to my eyes has always been a knockout!  CHARGER FOR ME PLEASE!

No contest for me.  After my Pinto finally got tired (over 150 thousand miles), I switched to Mustangs for my commuting.  So for over 20 years I wore out Mustangs, 4, 6, and V8 powered over that time, until finally in the late 90's I totaled the last one.  I commuted my last year of work in my wife's aging Chrysler Imperial (and enjoyed it, too.) While this '68 was a little before my string started, I still like its looks.  The Dodge just took up too much highway and parking lot space.

I love both almost equally but am choosing the Charger. It has a bit more room in the back seats and, IMO, K.O. styling from the previous 2 years whereas the 'stang is too identical to it's '67 model.

I prefer the Mustang's size, but the Charger is too beautiful not to win.

I'll go with the Mustang but this is a really close call. Love them both.

Charger. I think this is one of the best looking cars of the era

Steve McQueen's Mustang may have won the day, but then the film wasn't meant to be a beauty contest.

However effective the Mustang may have been as a car, it's styling was rightly described as belonging to the "Blunt Pencil School of Design".

Stylistically the Charger was light years ahead. No contest.
