Only a slight edge for the PONTIAC. Though, I'd NOT have either towed out of my driveway. Two very stylish cars in my opinion.

Both these vehicles have grown substantially over the years and are now too huge for my taste. While I would not want either, they are products of their time. A tie for me.
Grand Prix a little sportier gets my vote. I bet that Merc was a beast.

I chuckle when seeing the Pontiac grille, while remembering how the '58 Edsel took some heat and criticism from the buying public. In comparison the Edsel is very tame. I think both are beautiful.

I can't decide, I want them both!
I don't see these as being comparable. IMO the Mercury is a full- blown luxury car while the Pontiac is a sporty car. In either event, I would favor the Pontiac in my garage.
@bob-jackman - Sometimes I stretch the envelope to keep this interesting.

No contest here, Pontiac Grand Prix.

@sizedoesmatter John, I'm not being critical as your choice was challenging. Your "choice" is my favorite of everything that's on the diecast forum and I look forward to it every day.
@bob-jackman Thank you Bob, I appreciate the feedback.

The Grand Prix is great, but the Mercury is so cool. I have always loved this car, got to ride in one when I was 10-what a thrill.

I love them both but favor the Pontiac styling as it's a bit more sporty.
