Closer than I thought it would be. I really like the GTO, particularly in Judge guise. But the Charger is just beautiful.

I was really conflicted on this. The Charger is by far the most iconic design of the two. Regardless, I chose the Judge because I like the looks more and know that it had a smoother ride.
Charger by quite a bit. Liked the '70 GTO better than the '68 - '69, same for the Chevelle, but '68 -'70 the Charger ruled.
I simply could not decide...heaven knows I tried. A rare tie from me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I owned the '64 GTO and loved that car. By 1970, though a beautiful automobile, I was not as impressed with it as it grew and transformed. I'll go with the Charger by a whisker!
Tough choice indeed. I give the GTO a slight edge because although the 70 Charger is very sharp, it is not the 68. 👀✌️

This was a tough one for me because in 1970 the nose/grille surround of the Charger being a chrome surround really detracted from the gorgeous '68 and the carryover of the less attractive '69 taillights was also a bit of a negative. The GTO for '70 was a nice looking, powerful car but lacked the visual impact of the '68 & '69. I gave the Charger the nod by a very narrow margin.
I too gave the GTO a very, very slim margin over the Charger. I like both a lot but I pulled one receding gray hair out of my head and that is how much the GTO won by. And then again I had a '70 Trans Am so I remember how nice and solid what a great ride it had and how much power it had. I know the GTO is going to weigh a bit more but I'm going with that GTO.

Steve; IMHO these two couldn't compare to your '70 Trans-Am for styling and handling; it was an awesome car.
- Thanks Jack, 👍 especially in red with the white scoop and fender extractors. Unfortunately I never did get a chance to ask the former owner why his car was red with white when in '70 they were supposed to be blue and white or white and blue as I'm sure most people know. I've got to try and contact somebody that's with the PMD. I know there's somebody that does books on these cars and maybe we can trace its heritage.

The one I fell in love with on the showroom floor was white with blue stripes. Just couldn't afford it at the time though. My girl friend wanted me to buy it so badly!
