Charger 500 for me please sir!
Me too. It may not look as good as the previous two years, but it still has winning looks.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
While I'm not convinced that is a true Charger 500 (it looks like you can see the sail panels in the rear window), I voted for it. I really like yellow on a car. But the 442 has just a bit too much. I never cared for the body color wheels on that gen Cutlass. I'd rather not see the vinyl top on the Dodge.
You do a really nice job in matching the candidates, John. Thanks.

Both are attractive and certainly the yellow is really eye catching. I too prefer the Dodge.
Too funny! All you guys are voting for the Charger, and next to the 4-4-2 I don't even see the Charger.
I will say, both cars in the yellow/black color combo are beautiful, but when it comes to looks, OMG, the 4-4-2 makes the Charger invisible!
This was my high school graduation year and I'd been in heaven if I'd had one just like it. OLDSMOBILE for me gang!

And so we are different. It's the darker yellow on the 4-4-2 that I like better then the lighter yellow on the Charger. And it's also the "body color wheels" that I really like on the 4-4-2 as well. So John, all is well. You and me are offered these cars and we each get the one we want.

John, I believe the Charger 500 in '69 had the flat back window and the '68 Coronet gill for NASCAR while the '70+ was just a regular Charger model.
Love the '68 &'69 Charger, liked the '70 and the '71 as alright.
Never cared for the Olds Cutlass in any year after '67, same for the Skylark.
The very Muscular looking Charger for me!

Well said, Geroge. I know those wheels on the Olds were quite popular. That being said, I think there's a difference in lighting between the two pictures above, which makes the colors look different. But I didn't recall a lighter yellow being available on the 70 Charger, so I looked it up on AutoColor Library. If anything, "Banana" on the Doge was actually darker than the "Sebring Yellow" on the Olds. I can see how it might appear otherwise. John B has done a great job matching the two cars as usual.

The '68 Charger (my fave Charger) was stunning and IMHO a design that just couldn't be tweaked in any way to be improved. As a result I liked the grille and tail lights of the '69 much less and was disappointed with the '70, especially the chrome grille surround. I never cared for the 500 rear roof change. I liked the '70 thru '72 Olds 442 much more than the '68-'69 (tail light/bumper design mostly) so the Olds gets the nod today.
