I picked T-Bird because its styling looks sportier in spite of its very similar size. I can't get too excited about the Continentals after the stunning MK. III. They just got larger and so by comparison, although they were still nice, it seemed to me that the car got chunkier and less attractive each passing year. The impact absorbing bumpers in later years didn't help its looks either.
Overweight, oversized, limited space interiors and suspensions too bouncy for serous maneuvering. I'll pass on this pair.
What a change in the Thunderbird from 1957 to 1972!
Not really a fan of either. By the seventies American cars became nothing but huge barges that were by no means exciting to look at. BUT, if I have to vote for one of them, it's the THUNDERBIRD.
That Continental grille looks like the biggest after-thought ever put on a car! It would be a nice place to hang a Christmas Wreath.

Baby Bird to Bulgy Bird.
Never did get into boats. No interest in these. What David Green said.

I agree, but the Lincoln is too outrageous not to win this contest.

I like both. After many years of not liking these boats I now like them. My pick in this case is the Lincoln. No one ever bought one of these for the handling but for the cloud like ride in pure silence.
Agree, but I called it a tie. Yes, these cars are made for taking your favorite girl to the country club for cocktails and dinner on Saturday night. If you want handling, take the Farrari.

They are essentially the same car. The Lincoln just does it with more appointments. Having driven and owned several of each. I have always been a fan. These cars were not bought for their handling, they were road cruisers and did that remarkably well.
I voted for the Mark IV, to my eyes it brings it all together in a more luxurious package. But I wouldn't turn down either one.

John B. and John M. I agree with both of you.
