'60 or '61 Buick?

I know the '61 may be an improvement in many ways over the former year, but the '60 has those front to back fins. Go big or go home! I like the looks of the '61 except for the Falcon-ish front, side fender reminder. My vote is sixty.

I appreciate the removal of the fins for 1961. Not that keen on the nose but overall a nice design.

In general terms I much prefer the 1961 GM cars over the '60 offerings, especially Pontiac, Chevrolet and Cadillac. I have to say though that this particular '60 Buick convertible shown in this trim level and color is a knockout; is gets the nod by a nose. The '61 would win in any other body style.

THE '60 BUICK BY THE PROVERBIAL COUNTRY MILE for me!
If I was offered any '61 GM car (other than Chevy), I'd pass on taking it. The '60 Buick is a sculptured work of art that will stand through time as being a classic design.

I love both of these cars, but I have vivid memories of that new '61. The '60 Buicks were beautiful, and that color combo on the '60 that John has chosen is stunning. But the '61 was just so new! To me, it looked light and fresh, lithe, and...so sixties! Exciting things were happening in the White House with a new and young first family; we were going to the moon, the economy was firing on all cylinders, rumors were floating around that Ray Charles was cutting, of all things, a country album, and exciting adventures were everywhere! The '61 cars were simply a breath of fresh air blowing on all that change. The '61 gets my vote.

The '60 pictured is to die for, but when you get past all the glitter its styling consists of lumps and bumps. I'll take the straight and sweeping style of the '61. BTW, I took my drivers test on my brother's brand new '61 Buick. That was a long time ago, I was 18 years old. The numbers reflect my current age, except reversed.
