I agree these were the two best years for full size American cars, although the 1956 Chrysler and DeSoto, and 1966 Chryslers were to me even better.

One of the very few times I picked the Buick. After '64 I didn't care for any of the GM fullsize offerings, but loved the '65 Pontiac GTO & Buick Skylark mid-size.
Glad to see the Buick doing so well here! From '65 through '68, Wildcat was easily the best looking full-size Buick, marrying the longer Electra front clip with the LeSabre body from the cowl back. That gave the Wildcat those fabulous proportions!
