WOW!  You and I will have to respectfully disagree about '61 being an "excellent year for styling".  I though '61, along with '60 were two of their worst styling years.  To each their own though.

I also respectfully disagree, '58 & '59 were the ugliest styling years and '60 as close. '61 - '64 were gorgeously styled years for all full-size cars. Exceptions being Dodge & Plymouth. Just one mans opinion

Correct you are, "just one mans opinion".  With regard to '58 and '59, to my eyes they were two of the most beautifully styled model years of the fifties.

Yea, you're right.  But the opinions I expressed in my comments still apply to the '61's.

All are such beautiful General Motors automobiles and I would be delighted to drive any one of these cars ! Here is a picture my Dad took of me and my sister at the Buick display just before the 1961 Chicago Automobile Show opened at the giant McCormick Place exhibition hall.  I am sure I was in wonderland !

@georgeschire Thank goodness we have different opinions/preferences; what a boring hobby it would be if we all agreed on car styling.  I must admit that I have had my opinion on a number of cars gradually changed a number of times by the differing comments of others on this Forum.

@brush Bruce; thank for posting the pics of the '61 Bonneville; I love this car even more than the Ventura/Catalina.  It would be great to see this one done by Goldvarg in 1/43 in the future...both convertible and 2drht.

@brush I’ve said this several times here, I believe the ‘61 Ventura is one of the most beautiful contemporary automobile designs of that period!

GM hit it out of the park for the '61 model line-up. For me it's Buick, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Cadillac then Oldsmobile by the smallest of margins.

Gents, thanks for the pics and responses.
