I like them both very much but prefer the more modern styling of the '53; especially the grille and rear quarters.

I also like both, but the 1953 looks better and has the benefit of engineering evolution.

My vote goes to the '53.  The styling had moved from the post-war frumpy look.  And the '54 took it a bit further.

The '53-'54 Chevy Bel Air HTs were attractive cars for sure but I sure would have had buyers regret when I saw what replaced them in 1955.  Lol.
