I love all three. But, having to choose, I would say, "57, '56, '55"

@jkuvakas I agree with JK but only reversed....'55, '56', '57. 😉
The '55 is my favorite car of the 50s in its class.
All of the Tri-Five Chevrolets are wonderful classics with their great exterior design and the debut of the superb Chevrolet small-block V-8 engine. Our family had a 1955 Bel Air back then.
Love the '57 front clip & dash. But, love the entire '55. Dislike the entire '56.
1. '55 clean simple to the point
2. '57 love half
3. '56 too much overdone
‘56,55,57 …could change tomorrow, love em all!
A sometimes ignored gem between to diamonds. I like 56, 57, 55.
I exactly echo Kevin and grockwood. 1956, 1955 and 1957. My Uncle Joe had a brand new '55 and I fell in love with it. When the '56 came out, I didn't initially care for it until I studied the teardrop shape of the rear wheel openings and the subtle refinement of the rest of the car. The '57 is a close third.
Chronological order for me. Love the 55.

So easy, '56, '55, and the '57 a distant 3rd.
Like Jack and Ed, I choose in chronological order, but I love them all almost equally.
@perrone1 Now I’m echoing you Tony. In my younger years I also didn’t like the ‘56 but as I aged I started appreciating it more and more. The side trim, the rear wheel openings, as you stated,
and the beautifully complex taillights made the ‘55 look rather plain. I guess wisdom doe’s come with age! (Although in my case, very little.)
First car I ever drove was my big brother’s ‘57 dusk pearl 4 door hardtop Bel Air.
The ‘55 and ‘56 are very close favorites too.
