Difficult one. I've always tended to dislike the '59 for looking too much like a boxy Japanese tinplate toy. But I have to admit the '61 looks a little bland by comparison so maybe (just) I'll go with the '59. But I'm with Steve on this one. The '60 beats them both for style.
Incidentally. Trax are now taking pre-orders for their "1960" Fairlane 500, which is actually the U.S. '59 body, built from parts imported from Ford Canada. Looks quite nice, with some quite subtle detailing and brightwork, but with the usual problem for American fans that it is RHD. And costs a lot to ship from Australia!
My problem is that I see everything from its relationship to own time context, so my opinion is largely irrelevant. Certainly in this case; both are winners.
I like both of them but I'm going to choose the '61 as a sentimental favorite because a Country Sedan was my first car.
Now John, had you included a '60 Galaxie that would have won hands down.
Steve
Your mentioning the '60 Ford got me to thinking. My mind wandered and I actually ranked (on looks alone) Ford's full-size top of the line cars from 1955 to 1965. After I made the list, I was surprised myself on the order I liked them, but the '61 was dead last. Here is my list:

So it's a 1959, but they're calling it a 1960? That's goofy! And looking at your photos, it is 100% a 1959.
